Chocolate Chip and Nut Blondies Ingredients • ½ cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, melted & cooled • ½ cup light dark or treacle sugar • 1 egg, at room temperature • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract • 1 cup all-purpose flour or 1 cup and 2 tablespoons cake flour • ½ teaspoon salt if using salted butter reduce salt to ¼ spoon. • 1 cup chocolate chips • ½ mixed nuts Instructions Preheat the oven to 180°C. Grease with butter a 15cm by 15cm baking dish or pan and set aside. Melt the butter in a large, microwave-safe bowl. Use a whisk to stir in the brown/treacle sugar until well combined. Beat in the egg and vanilla until completely incorporated. Blend in the flour and salt until fully blended. Fold in half of the chocolate chips and nuts.
