It is incredible what you can do with a simple apple! Baked Apples | Bay...
We made #bakedapples
The inspiration for this recipe came from my beautiful neighbour.

I have never eaten or heard about baked apples until she gifted us some last week and wow I have been missing out.
If you want an #applepie
without the hassle of the pastry then this recipe is for you.

This is what you will need.
Ingredients
3 red apples (you can use
green if you like, it is just as delicious)

• 1/4 cup brown sugar
• 1to 1½ teaspoons ground cinnamon
• 2 tablespoons chopped pecans (I used roasted Macedonians nuts
and chopped into smaller pieces

• 3 tablespoons @flora plant based butter
• 1/2 cups water
• Juice of one orange

Instructions
Preheat oven to 175 degrees Celsius.
From the apple stem, use a paring knife to remove cores from the apples. Leave the bottom of the apple intact, like a small bowl.
Next in a small bowl, stir together, cinnamon, brown sugar and plant-based butter and chopped Macedonians.
Melt the mixture in the microwave if the butter is too hard.
Spoon into the centre of each apple to fill right to top.
Pour juice of one orange and half a cup of water into the bottom of the baking dish so that the apples sit in the water and steam.
Bake in the preheated at 175 degrees Celsius for 45 to 50 minutes, or until apples is soft.
Serve warm with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream.
This dessert will blow your guest away simple yet warm and comforting.
Have you eaten baked apples and what was your first memory of it?
Any suggestions on what you will use as a filling?
Let us know in the comments wd would love to chat.
Love and gratitude,
Ristha and David
